Transition in Leadership and Navigating Our Path Forward

Posted Date: 9/05/25 (2:53 PM)

The North Bend School District Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Superintendent Swagerty. We want to thank him for his service and dedication to our students, staff, and community.

To ensure continuity of district services and programs, the Board has appointed Tim Crider as Acting Superintendent. This decision will allow for a smooth transition into the new school year while keeping our focus on the priorities outlined in our new strategic plan.  This plan was built in partnership with our staff, students, and community members, and will remain our compass for moving forward.

Tim brings a deep knowledge of all levels of district operations and departments, ensuring that the work of our schools continues without disruption. He is dedicated to building trust and ensuring transparency, particularly around budgetary decisions, so that our community can feel confident that resources are being managed responsibly.

As Acting Superintendent, Tim is excited to continue working side by side with the Board of Directors, our educators, and our community to make North Bend schools the very best they can be. We are confident this will be a positive transition for our district, and under Tim’s leadership we will continue building on the work already in place, maintaining our commitment to academic excellence, student well-being, and community collaboration.

Thank you for your continued support of the North Bend School District. Together, we are excited about the future and the opportunities ahead for all of our students.
